Whooping cough cases increase

Order Your Repeat Prescription Online

Repeat prescriptions

greepills Repeat prescriptions have to be approved by the doctor. You can get them from reception by giving two working days' notice.

If you want a repeat prescription, use the form on the right hand-side of your prescription. This lists your usual medication. Please tick only the items you want.

If you don't have the form please fill in a prescription request slip. You can get these from reception. You will need to put the name of the medication and how often you take it, a receptionist can help you with this.

We are happy to post your prescription, but please enclose a stamped envelope addressed to yourself. We accept requests by fax but we do not take requests for repeat prescriptions over the phone except for housebound patients.

From 1st April 2011 we are offering patients a new on-line facility which will allow patients to request medication and make a doctors appointment using EMIS Access.

All personal information contained on EMIS Access is protected using the highest standard internet security.

Requesting medication

Patients will be able to request repeat prescriptions from home. Without visiting the practice you can order any repeat prescriptions that are due. Once requested you can track progress of your request and simply collect your prescription from the practice or chemist after 48 working hours. What to do next

In order to use EMIS Access you must first register for this service by asking reception for an online registration form. We will print you a registration letter with all the information you need including your PIN, practice ID, Access ID and NHS number you can create your account using this website or http://www.emisaccess.co.uk/

Please make sure you ask for repeat prescriptions before your medication runs out.

We keep a careful check on repeat prescriptions and you will be asked at some point to make an appointment to review your treatment.

We do not have access to provide immediate service over the counter if you have run out of medication. In these circumstances you would be advised to see the chemist who can provide you with a 48 hour provision of medication until such time as your prescription can be processed.
