Cancer Care statement
We are committed to supporting patients and carers throughout the cancer journey — from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond.
Following a cancer diagnosis, we can offer an early conversation about how you are coping and what support you may need. This usually takes place within the first few months of diagnosis and can include a family member or carer if you wish. We want to understand what matters most to you and make sure you know how we can help.
Within the first year after diagnosis, we can also offer a Cancer Care Review. This dedicated appointment provides an opportunity to discuss your physical health, emotional wellbeing, practical concerns, and any ongoing needs. We can help connect you with local services and support organisations, including Macmillan Cancer Support.
We recognise that the end of hospital treatment can be a difficult and uncertain time. Our practice remains here for you, whether you have new symptoms, concerns about side effects, or need support with everyday issues such as finances, or emotional wellbeing.
You and your carers can contact us at any point. We will listen and do our best to support you throughout your cancer journey.
