Travel Vaccinations
Information and advice for travelling abroad
Travel Vaccinations
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel, please contact us online.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 8 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.
Some vaccinations need to be given at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
We do not currently offer any non-NHS travel vaccines, including malaria prevention tablets. Anti-malarial medication is available directly from some pharmacies and private travel clinics.
The only travel vaccines which are available free on the NHS are Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Polio/Diptheria/Tetanus.
Other Local Travel Services
If you are travelling within 6 weeks and need urgent help and advice other local services provide private travel clinics including:
- Dermacia Pharmacy, 260 Upper Street, N1 2UQ
- London Travel Clinic 0333 009 8334
